Progression & Retention
Progression & Retention
Beyond trading and combat, several interlocking systems reward consistent play and territorial control. These features appear on the Scorecard tab (Command screen) and throughout the game.
Daily Ops
Each 12-hour reset generates 3 random objectives for your pilot. Complete them before the next reset to earn bonus credits.
How it works
- At each reset, the server picks 3 ops from the pool of types your rank tier qualifies for.
- Progress ticks automatically as you play — fly through nodes, sell cargo, win fights, deploy drones, etc.
- When an op reaches its target, tap Claim on the Scorecard to collect the credit reward.
- Unclaimed completed ops still count — you just miss the reward if you don't claim before the next reset.
- Uncompleted ops expire at the next reset and are replaced with a fresh set.
Op types
| Op | What to do | Unlock tier |
|---|---|---|
| Complete a trade run | Sell cargo at any port | Tier 1 |
| Make warp jumps | Fly between nodes (target varies) | Tier 1 |
| Deposit into the bank | Make a Drift Bank deposit at the Nexus | Tier 1 |
| Scan a node | Scan any node | Tier 1 |
| Visit the Nexus | Fly or warp to the Nexus node | Tier 1 |
| Win a combat encounter | Win any wave combat (PvP, port raid, etc.) | Tier 2 |
| Deploy guardians | Deploy guardian drones at a node | Tier 2 |
| Claim a planet | Successfully claim ownership of a planet | Tier 3 |
| Bust a node streak | Break another player's guardian streak | Tier 4 |
Higher-tier ops unlock as you rank up, offering bigger rewards for harder tasks.
Node Claim Streaks
Maintaining guardian drone control at a node builds a streak — a counter of consecutive epochs you've held it. Streaks reward persistence and make territory valuable.
How it works
- Deploy guardian drones at a node.
- If your drones are still there at the next reset, the streak counter increments.
- After reaching the activation threshold (default: 4 epochs), the streak becomes active and you earn credits each epoch it persists.
- If another player clears all your drones at that node, the streak is busted — they collect a bounty proportional to how many epochs the streak ran.
Streak states
| State | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Building | Streak is counting up but hasn't reached the activation threshold yet. No yield. |
| Active | Streak is past the threshold. You earn credits each epoch. |
| Contested | Another player has cleared your drones. The streak is broken. |
Streaks appear on the Scorecard territory section and in the Planets tab. The node map also shows streak indicators on controlled nodes.
Ship Legacy
Your active ship tracks kill count — the number of combat victories scored while flying it.
How it works
- Every combat win (PvP, port raid, planet assault) while piloting a ship increments its kill count.
- Once the kill count reaches the threshold (visible on the Ship screen), you can claim a legacy suffix — a permanent title appended to your callsign when flying that ship.
- Suffixes are chosen from a set list and are permanent — once claimed, they cannot be changed or removed.
- Each ship can only earn one suffix. Switch ships to start a new kill count.
Legacy suffixes appear next to your callsign in the Ship screen hero tile and are visible to other players.
Command Scorecard
The Scorecard is the first tab on the Command screen. It provides a snapshot of your current session and overall standing.
Sections
| Section | What it shows |
|---|---|
| This Session | Turns used, credits earned, credits spent, and combat events since you opened the app. |
| Daily Ops | Your current 3 ops with progress bars, targets, and claim buttons. |
| Standing | Your rank tier with progress toward the next badge, and your cycle leaderboard position with score. |
| Territory | Your guardian-controlled nodes (up to 6) with streak status, drone counts, and total credits earned. Contested nodes are highlighted. |
| Accord Reserve | Your Drift Bank balance and current accrual rate per hour. |
Session stats reset when you close and reopen the app. All other sections reflect live server state.
Return Briefing
When you return to the game after being away, the Command screen shows a Return Briefing — a summary of what happened while you were offline.
What it includes
- Net worth change since your last session
- Contested or lost nodes — territory where your guardian streaks were broken
- Planet surplus — resources your citadels produced while you were away
- Galaxy Prosperity — the current GPI (Galaxy Prosperity Index) band and whether the Fugari threat window is open
- Ops summary — how your Daily Ops from the last epoch turned out
- Current ops — your new Daily Ops for this epoch
- Suggested action — a server-generated hint for what to do first (repair, collect planet surplus, reclaim territory, etc.)
The briefing dismisses when you tap the continue button. It only appears after a meaningful absence (not on every tab switch).
Cycle Pressure
The Galaxy Prosperity Index (GPI) measures overall galaxy health based on active player count, node control, and Fugari expansion. When GPI drops below critical thresholds, all players receive a toast alert:
- Developing — galaxy prosperity has fallen. Fugari are gaining ground.
- Sparse or lower — critical alert. The Fugari cycle push window is open. Coordinate defense or risk cycle acceleration.
GPI band appears in the Return Briefing and influences Fugari behavior.
