Envoy
Fugari Envoy — Broker Class

Role
First contact. The lure.
The Envoy is the face the Fugari show you when they want something. It appears when you've become worth targeting — 5 or more trades in a session, a high credit balance, or 3+ nodes gained within 7 days. It is pleasant. Its offer is specific to you. It will reference your actual trade history, the nodes you've touched, the lanes you've used.
It feels personal because it is.
Threat Vector
Psychological. The Envoy is not a combat ship. It does not raid nodes. It does not drain resources. What it does is initiate the sequence that leads to all of those things.
Whether you accept the contract or refuse it makes no difference. The latch happens regardless. The Envoy's only purpose is to make you feel like you had a choice.
Encounter Behavior
The Envoy appears once per player interaction cycle. It will not return until the latch has progressed to the second demand stage (Stage 4), at which point it reappears with a larger ask.
It approaches without aggression. It will not engage your drones. It will not contest your nodes. It is patient in the way that things that have already won are patient.
Player Options
| Option | Outcome |
|---|---|
| Accept the contract | Latch begins. You've acknowledged their claim. |
| Refuse the contract | Latch begins anyway. You've antagonized them. |
| Ignore | Not a valid option. The sequence proceeds. |
There is no option that prevents Stage 3. The Envoy is not a negotiation. It is a notification.
Recognition
If you see an Envoy, the Fugari have already assessed you and decided you're worth taking from. That assessment is based on real performance data from your current session. The correct response is not to engage the terms — it is to immediately evaluate your purge capability and your syndicate options.
A Fractured Fugari faction (low FCS) is more negotiable at Stage 4. A Dominant one is not. Check the Realm Report for FCS signals before the second demand arrives.
