Black Market
The Black Market
The Black Market is at the Nexus -- not in a prominent place, but findable by anyone the Accord would rather not acknowledge. Access requires rep <= -100. If you're above that threshold, the corridor is just a corridor.
Access
Rep <= -100 is the gate. Walk into the Black Market at the Nexus and the full catalogue appears. No rep above that line will see it.
Catalogue
| Item | Limit | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Bust Scrubber | Once per epoch | Clears heat (bust counter) on any port at your current node |
| Cargo Manifest | Unlimited | Loads one scan charge onto your ship — activate later to reveal a pilot's hold contents |
Notes on Specific Items
Bust Scrubber resets the heat counter at the port at your current node. You must be physically at a node with a port for this to work. If you've been raiding a port and it's getting hot, this buys you more raids before the bust chance escalates.
Cargo Manifest adds a charge to your active ship. Charges are persistent — you can stockpile them across epochs. Each charge is consumed when you activate a manifest scan on a target pilot. If the target doesn't exist, the purchase is rejected and credits are not deducted.
The Actual Value Proposition
The Black Market is not the income source -- it's the edge. A well-timed Bust Scrubber keeps a profitable raiding route alive longer. Cargo Manifest turns a suspicion about a rival's position into confirmed intelligence.
